Browse Internet Links

Summary

The Software provides access to external Internet web links directly from within the program. This feature was added primarily for the Clinical Practices Guidelines which can get set to retrieve information about guidelines on the Internet. It provides users the ability to access disease management, preventive and wellness, and clinical decision support guidelines and their associated reference materials by means of links to external sources on the Internet. In this manner, users can quickly locate the reference information they need at any time, directly from the program.

While the primary reason for adding Internet access was for the Clinical Practices Guidelines, it is available to all users. The toolbar on the Home Nav Bar of the program includes an Web icon for browsing the Internet. Whenever this icon is clicked, a window is displayed allowing the user to select from a list of all Internet links entered in the software. The system allows you to store any number of Internet links. For subscription sites your user code and password can be stored in the link record, and the program will enter them automatically when it accesses the site.

To facilitate getting started, Net Health provides a certain number of commonly useful guideline links with Net Health Employee Health and Occupational Medicine. However, because of the wide variety of needs among Occupational Health, Urgent Care and Family Practice physicians, as well as the variety of choices in an ever changing landscape of medical practices, it is important that providers be able to establish their own guideline links, as well as change their sources over time.
