Viewing a Visit Category Protocol

Company specific visit category protocols can be viewed from the calendar quite easily:

1. Select View a Company Protocol

2. Select Company window opens

3. Search for and select the company.

4. The Select Company Protocol (company name) opens

5. Highlight the protocol of interest

6. Select View

The one problem with this is that it shows only company protocols. It may be that the company does not have its own protocol for the visit category of interest, in which case the generic protocol is the one the program will use.

Here is an alternative if you are interested in viewing the protocol while scheduling an appointment.

1. Proceed with scheduling the appointment.

2. After you select the visit category on the appointment record, an INSTRUCTIONS tab will appear at the top of the window. Clicking that will show you the instructions for the company or generic protocol, whichever is being used.

3. If you need to see the full list of activities, click the Encounter button.
