Open an Existing Visit

Reopen a clinic visit record from the Home Nav Bar
Locate by patient:
  1. Click Visits by Patient on the Home Nav Bar.

  2. If you did not just schedule a follow-up appointment, search for and select the Patient.

    If you did just scheduled an appointment, the same patient will be displayed on the [Select Patient] window. Click OK.

  3. On the [Patient Visits] window, highlight the visit to open and click Change.

Locate by date:
  1. Click Visits by Date on the Home Nav Bar.

  2. The [Enter Date Range] window defaults to today for both From Date and To Date. Optionally, change one or both dates to select a single day or a range of days.

  3. Click OK.

  4. The [Patient Visits by Date] window displays visits in reverse chronological order, that is, the most recent will be at the top of the list. Change the sort order by clicking the column header for the column you want sorted.

  5. Use the movement controls to scroll through the list to find the visit you want.

  6. Click Change to open the visit.

Reopen a clinic visit record from the Appointment Calendar:
  1. From the Home Nav Bar, click Appointment.

  2. For a visit on a date other than today, use the calendar controls to locate the date.

    In the upper right corner of the scheduling window, use the right and left arrows to move ahead or back in time. The Week-At-A-Glance view moves a week at a time; the one-up and four-up views move a day at a time. You can also click the calendar lookup icon in the center to access a whole month's calendar from which you can move to any specific date.

    Click Today to return to the schedule for today.

  3. Click Today's Scheduling.

  4. Find the patient and double-click to open the visit.

  1. Find the patient on the calendar.

  2. Double click to open the visit.

Reopen Provider Charting Notes from the Home Nav Bar
Locate by patient:
  1. Click Chart by Patienton the Home Nav Bar.

  2. On the [Find Patient] window enter all or part of a patient name, and click Search Patient List.

  3. On the [Select Patient] window, search for and select the patient.

  4. On the [Patient Visits] window, highlight the visit to open and click Change. This will open the [Enter Patient Visit] window.

  5. To open the charting note for this visit, click the EMR Charting button on the menu bar on the right.

  • If all you want to do is review and perhaps sign or co-sign a chart note, click Review Note instead. This button will be ' grayed out refers to part of a screen that cannot be used because it is inactive or otherwise not accessible. This part of the screen appears slightly gray. ' if the note has not yet been built.

Locate by date:
  1. Click Chart by Date on the Home Nav Bar.

  2. The [Todays Visits] window will display all visits logged today. Optionally, select a different date or date range.

  • Type a different date in Visits For, and press the tab key on your keyboard.

  • Use the arrow buttons to back or up one day at a time.

  • Click the "time waffle" button between the arrows to display a calendar. Select the date you want.

  • Enter a From Date and a To Date to select a range of days.

  1. By default, the [Patient Visits by Date] window displays visits in reverse chronological order, that is, the most recent will be at the top of the list. Optionally, click a column header such as Patient Name to change the sort order.

  1. Only your visits show by default.

  • Uncheck My Patients Only to show all visits for today.

  • To show only visits for another provider, click the table icon beside Provider. Search for and select the desired provider.

  1. Click OK.

  2. Use the movement controls to scroll through the list to find the visit you want.

  3. Click Change to open the [Enter Patient Visit] window.

  4. To open the charting note for this visit, click the EMR Charting button on the menu bar on the right.
